Certifications:
Master of Science in Exercise Science
National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Horton Doughton has a passion for exercise and loves to help people grow stronger. He graduated from Furman University in 2011 with a degree in Asian studies, and his Japanese language abilities helped him gain the academic focus he needed to become a Personal Trainer as well as an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2013. Here's what Horton has to say: "Being a Personal Trainer provides a unique opportunity to help someone, and that is by far the reason I like it so much. To help someone work toward a goal in realistic and reasonable steps is very rewarding, and helping someone reach their goal is even more so. While exercise and goal setting is a huge part of training, personal training would not be personal training without a personal touch, and I love being able to get to know new people and encourage them."

In his free time Horton enjoys hiking, writing, playing tabletop games, and translating Japanese media.
