Post-Rehab Exercise

Getting you back to the life and activities you love.

We’re So Glad You’re Here!

t

How did Post-Rehab Exercise begin?

This program was created in collaboration with our Physical Therapy Department. Due to rising healthcare costs, patients are often discharged from Physical Therapy before they reach optimal functional levels. The Post-Rehab Conditioning Specialist was created to bridge the gap between Physical Therapy and Personal Training – a go between that offers training which will improve the likelihood that the patient will be able to get back to where they were before their injury, surgery or onset of their condition.

For more information about Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at The Rehabilitation Center, or to schedule a PT or OT appointment, please visit The Rehabilitation Center or call 828-268-9043.

What is the goal of Post-Rehab Training?

The goal of Post-Rehab Training is to get each patient back to their optimal functional level. This is done through targeted improvement of the modalities of exercise – range of motion/flexibility, muscle recruitment patterns, strength, coordination, power, joint stability, endurance, proprioception and balance. Our Post-Rehab Conditioning Specialists will put together a game plan specific to your needs and goals.

The Physical and Occupational Therapists at The Rehabilitation Center work closely with the post rehab training exercise program offered at the Wellness Center. We refer our patients into the program and collaborate with the training specialist to create a patient specific plan to optimize the patient outcome and reduce the risk of future re-injury.
