You Can Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

Join the Prevent T2 Program


Prevent T2 is a lifestyle intervention program created by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Participants with prediabetes who lost 5-7% of their body weight by making dietary changes and exercising 150 minutes per week reduced their risk of developing diabetes by 58%.


When does it start?

Introduction Class Begins September 26th at 6:00pm in the Wellness Center Classroom. First education class begins October 3rd at 6:00pm in the Wellness Center Classroom.


Eligibility Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Be overweight (BMI 25 or greater)
  • Have no previous diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
  • Have established risk factors for devleoping type 2 diabetes; or

Have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes within the past year or previously with gestational diabetes.
